I became actively involved with the creation of the Independence Fire Company as I felt strongly that as a NYC Firefighter, I had the experience and the obligation to teach and train new members to serve our growing community. For more than ten years I served as a volunteer with the Washingtonville Little League and am a founding member and former President of the Washingtonville Wizard Touchdown Club.
While serving as a NYC Firefighter, I was elected to the Executive Board of the Uniformed Firefighter Association, and the position of Financial & Recording Secretary, handling budgets in excess of $40 million dollars. This office was responsible for labor management negotiations.
Locally, I am a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, served twice as President of Joseph Duelk, Jr. AOH Division #1 and proudly serve as a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). I attend St. Mary's and Sacred Heart Church and am a member of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.
After 33 outstanding years of service, I retired from the FDNY in August of 2000 and found I had more time to get involved and regularly attended Zoning, Planning and Town Board meetings. It became increasingly clear from the many comments I heard from fellow residents that many were deeply upset with the leadership of our town. After much consideration, I decided to run for Town of Blooming Grove Supervisor. I was elected in November of 2001.

Supervisor's Message
Blooming Grove is a wonderful township to raise a family. The area was once famous for its vast farmlands, but now has become the most desirable place to locate in the Hudson Valley. Our mission is to provide intelligent growth while retaining the character and charm that makes Blooming Grove the desirable community is it today. A large array of activities, excellent educational facilities and the close proximity to New York City all enhance the quality of life held so dearly by our residents. I appreciate the the support of the citizens allowing me the opportunity to serve Blooming Grove.
