Our goal is to keep the Town of Blooming Grove roads safe for the traveling public.


Duties & Responsibilities of the Highway Department
The Town of Blooming Grove Highway Department is responsible for snow/ice removal, road reclamation, chip sealing, asphalt patching, crack sealing, culvert and catch basin maintenance, ditching, tree and limb clearing, road sign maintenance, litter pickup, and any other road related issues.

General Info for Public

There is no parking on Town of Blooming Grove roads at any time, November 1-April 15, for snow removal.

For project announcements and road information, the Highway Department reports in the Orange County Post.

Personal & Professional Info
The Highway Superintendent is an elected town official. This position serves a 2-year term. Mr. Amante's term became effective January 1, 2006. Mr. Amante is a member of the following groups and organizations:

  • New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways, Inc.
  • Orange County Highway Superintendents Association
  • Clean Roads of Blooming Grove
  • Past member (10 yrs.) of Town of Blooming Grove Planning Board
